FAQ - Frequently asked Questions

Why is BOOPER not sending messages or embeds?

If BOOPER is unable to send messages or sends messages without embeds, check if you gave BOOPER the permissions to SEND MESSAGES and EMBED LINKS, at least for the channel that BOOPER is supposed to send messages in. We recommend using the default permissions suggested when inviting BOOPER.

Why is BOOPER unable to find the invite for new member?

To check which invite has been used for a new member, BOOPER needs to fetch all of your server's invites. This requires the MANAGE SERVER permission. In some cases, a new member could join almost immediately after an invite has been created, not giving BOOPER enough time to properly process it.

Why is the channel I want to select not available/shown?

If the channel you want to select is not appearing in the list of available channels, refresh the page. If it's still not there, make sure BOOPER has at least VIEW CHANNEL, SEND MESSAGES and EMBED LINKS permissions for that channel.

Why does BOOPER not log events happening in a certain channel?

If BOOPER doesn't log an activity from a certain channel, or even all channels, it means that you haven't given BOOPER enough permissions to do so. Make sure BOOPER has at least VIEW CHANNEL and READ MESSAGES permissions for the channel BOOPER is supposed to monitor, and at least VIEW CHANNEL, SEND MESSAGES and EMBED LINKS permissions for the channel BOOPER is supposed to send the log to.

Why does BOOPER always shows a time that's different from mine?

All of BOOPER's timestamps use the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), to avoid confusion among other members of the server, who might live in a different timezone. The UTC time is always the same for everyone. You can see what the current UTC time is right now, and how far ahead/behind you are at https://time.is/UTC
